Volleyball Game Preview: Front Range Christian Falcons vs. Gilpin County Eagles + How To Watch

Front Range Christian is 1-9 against Gilpin County since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Falcons will square off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Front Range Christian won the last time they faced Union Colony Prep and Morgan Battey did her part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Timberwolves on Thursday for which the team can thank Battey, who had 35 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Front Range Christian was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Gilpin County came into Tuesday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against SkyView Academy on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2.

Gilpin County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 17-25, 25-13, 25-17, 15-13.

Front Range Christian's record now sits at 7-9. As for Gilpin County, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-7.
