Volleyball Recap: New Waverly Takes a Loss

New Waverly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Centennial Spartans.

New Waverly may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 13 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centennial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Channing Ward, who had 13 assists. Peyton Ford also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

New Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Centennial, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Coming up, New Waverly will take on Royse City at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will face off against Franklin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
