It was a proper cat-fight when Long Beach duked it out with Pascagoula on Saturday. The Bearcats walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Panthers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 5, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Drew Dixon was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Cayden Einhaus was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Long Beach's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Pascagoula, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Long Beach will venture away from home to face off against West Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats are facing the Hurricanes at the right time seeing as the Hurricanes are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Pascagoula, they will head out on the road to square off against George County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
