Archbishop Mitty came out on top against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on Friday thanks in part to Kyleigh Mace's efforts. Mace wasn't messing around, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. The pitching appearance was her 16th straight with six or more strikeouts.

Looking ahead, Mace and Archbishop Mitty will challenge Saint Francis at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Monarchs had to take a loss when they last met the Lancers, but Mace had little to do with the loss: she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk).
