The St. Raphael Academy Saints will venture away from home to take on the Lincoln Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Raphael Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so Lincoln's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither St. Raphael Academy nor West Warwick made it on the board until the eighth inning. The Saints fell just short of the Wizards by a score of 3-2. The game marked the Saints' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Isabella Sousa was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jaliyah De Los Santos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). Everything went their way against Barrington on Monday as they made off with a 20-5 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Lincoln got a massive performance out of Lucia Whyte, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave Whyte a new career-high. Sydney Marchand was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .704. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
The win got Lincoln back to even at 6-6. As for St. Raphael Academy, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.
Lincoln's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. St. Raphael Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.7 strikeouts per game.
