Baseball Recap: Altavista Comes Up Short

The Altavista Colonels came up short against the North Cross Raiders on Tuesday and fell 7-4.

Altavista's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for North Cross, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Altavista will take on Nelson County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Cross, they will square off against Blue Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Barons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.67 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
