Volleyball Recap: Yuma Extends Winning Streak to Four

It's playoff time, and Yuma had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Lyons Lions on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Outlaws sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Yuma not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lyons between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-16.

Lauren Gonzales paced Yuma's offense, picking up ten kills. Gonzales got some help from Bailey Nighswonger and her 11 assists. Aubrey Black controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Yuma's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Lyons, they moved to 22-3 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Yuma will face off against Sanford at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
