 In what's become a running theme this season, Avalon gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers  a   6-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Avalon also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2019.
 The result came thanks to  Charlie Rothbard's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Mark Williams and  Josh Langelli did most of the damage at the plate:  Williams  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while  Langelli  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.  Ethan Stepanik was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
 On Georgetown Day's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cole Huh, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double.
 Avalon's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Georgetown Day, they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-14.
 Avalon has the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome Pallotti at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Avalon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season. As for Georgetown Day, they will head out on the road to  face off against  St. Andrew's Episcopal at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Georgetown Day is facing St. Andrew's Episcopal at the right time seeing as St. Andrew's Episcopal is stuck on  a  13-game losing streak.
