Basketball Game Preview: Perry Bluejays vs. North Polk Comets

The Perry Bluejays will face off against the North Polk Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Despite the loss, Perry got top-tier performance from Geren Kenney, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Kenney now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy. Gustavo Drahos was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Meanwhile, North Polk beat Hoover 68-55 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Perry's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. As for North Polk, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Perry was taken down by North Polk 64-21 in their previous meeting back in February of 2021. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Perry was down 37-9.
