Volleyball Recap: Sisseton Takes a Loss

Sisseton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Groton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Groton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jerica Locke led the charge by getting 13 digs and three assists. Another player making a difference was Sydney Locke, who had ten digs and two aces.

Sisseton's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Groton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Coincidentally, Sisseton and Groton will both be playing Dell Rapids the next time they take the court. The Redmen will head out to face the Quarriers at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
