Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nelson County). They blew past the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues 11-1 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Governors needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Nelson County's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Parry McCluer, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Nelson County will host Chatham at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Governors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Parry McCluer, they will face off against Craig County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
