Baseball Recap: Mannford Takes a Loss

Mannford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Skiatook Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered against the Bulldogs since April 18, 2019.

Mannford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Harvey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Harvey has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Mannford's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Skiatook, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Mannford will be playing in front of their home fans against Cushing at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Skiatook, they will head out to challenge Rejoice Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
