Freedom came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cypress Creek Bears, sneaking past 2-1.

Freedom's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five games. As for Cypress Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Freedom and Horizon will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Cypress Creek, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oak Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
