Football Recap: Woodbridge Raiders vs. Glasgow Dragons
Woodbridge won the last time they faced Glasgow, and things went their way on Thursday too. The Woodbridge Raiders blew past the Glasgow Dragons, posting a 49-14 victory at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.
Tyler Eley was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Kam' Ren Johnson was in the mix too, providing Woodbridge with two touchdowns.
Woodbridge wouldn't let Glasgow keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Woodbridge can thank Johnson and Emmanuel Miles-Martin for forcing all of them.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zy Tate, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. Tate was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 64 yards.
Woodbridge's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Glasgow, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
