Football Game Preview: Lee's Summit West Titans vs. Staley Falcons + Official Tickets

The Lee's Summit West Titans will head out to square off against the Staley Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee's Summit West will be strutting in after a victory while Staley will be coming in after a loss.

Lee's Summit West is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since September 6, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Raymore-Peculiar 27-25. The win was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Staley duked it out with Liberty North on Friday. The Falcons fell 31-20 to the Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Lee's Summit West will need to focus on slowing down Kaden Buhman, one of several Staley players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 92 receiving yards and one touchdown. Buhman really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards. Connor Jones was another key player, having thrown for 257 yards and two touchdowns.

Staley's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lee's Summit West, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Lee's Summit West took their win against Staley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 48-28 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
