Softball Recap: Henderson County Colonels vs. North Laurel Jaguars

Henderson County extended their postseason success on Saturday against North Laurel. They never let the North Laurel Jaguars onto the board and left with an 11-0 win. Henderson County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 23 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Anna Kemp made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Kemp has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive pitching appearances. Kemp was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Ayden Bennett and Taylor Troutman did most of the damage at the plate: Bennett scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Troutman went 1-for-3 with three runs, a triple, and an RBI.
