Soccer Game Preview: Lynden vs. Oak Harbor

Lynden is a perfect 3-0 against Oak Harbor since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions will head out to challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Lynden sidestepped Lynden Christian for a 4-3 victory. Lynden haven't had any issues with Lynden Christian recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Oak Harbor duked it out with Burlington-Edison on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oak Harbor.

Lynden's record now sits at 8-4-2. As for Oak Harbor, their record is now 5-8-2.

Everything went Lynden's way against Oak Harbor in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Lynden made off with a 7-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
