Basketball Recap: West Laurens Piles Up the Points Against Aquinas

West Laurens had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 31-point drubbing they dealt Aquinas on Wednesday. The West Laurens Raiders blew past the Aquinas Fightin' Irish, posting a 60-29 victory. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Fightin' Irish back in December of 2024, they had to take a 40-32 loss.

West Laurens' win bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Aquinas, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cross Creek the next time they take the court. Aquinas will head out to face Cross Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while West Laurens will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
