            Softball Recap: Rosalia Spartans vs. Colton Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Rosalia dropped their record down to 5-5 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They lost  23-3 to the Colton Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season,  with their most recent  loss being a  17-7  defeat  on Friday.
As for Colton, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4. Considering they have won seven games by more than eight  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
For Colton's part,  Clair Moehrle made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. Moehrle was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news, Colton got a  massive  performance out of  Ella Nollmeyer, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Holly Heitstuman was another key player,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with four  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosalia will square off against Garfield-Palouse at 2:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Colton, they will challenge Pomeroy at 2:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on  a  13-game losing streak.
