Baseball Recap: Sherman Victorious

Sherman had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Van on Monday. The Tide's pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 6-0 shutout. The Tide haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Luke Tagliente was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Sherman: the team is 9-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Harless, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

The win got Sherman back to even at 11-11. As for Van, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Looking ahead, Sherman will head out to challenge Wahama at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Van does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
