Basketball Game Preview: Escondido Cougars vs. San Pasqual Golden Eagles

Escondido is on a four-game streak of home losses, San Pasqual a 12-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Escondido Cougars will welcome the San Pasqual Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Escondido challenged Valley Center on Friday. Escondido fell to Valley Center 49-43.

Meanwhile, San Pasqual had to suffer through a 72-28 loss at the hands of Rancho Bernardo. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1234th, while the Broncos are ranked 424th).

San Pasqual's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Escondido, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Escondido took their victory against San Pasqual in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 45-25. Does Escondido have another victory up their sleeve, or will San Pasqual turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
