Softball Game Preview: Cheltenham Panthers vs. Central Bucks East Patriots

After both having extra time off, the Cheltenham Panthers and the Central Bucks East Patriots will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 18 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Cheltenham and four for Central Bucks East.

Wissahickon hit Cheltenham with a five-run seventh inning last Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 14-6 to the Trojans. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Panthers' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, Central Bucks East came up short against Harry S. Truman last Thursday and fell 9-4.

Anna Devine was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Cheltenham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Central Bucks East, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
