Gatlinburg-Pittman piles up the points against Lenoir City

Recap: Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders vs. Lenoir City Panthers
The Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past Lenoir City 69-29 on the road.
Leading Gatlinburg-Pittman to victory were Nya Burns and Maddy Newman. Burns scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists, while Newman scored 24 points. Another player making a difference was Maliyah Glasper, who scored 5 points along with 4 steals.
Gatlinburg-Pittman's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lenoir City, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gatlinburg-Pittman will square off against Eagleton College & Career Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lenoir City, they will head out on the road to face off against Sweetwater at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sweetwater focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday.
