Waterville proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 20) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Cascade Kodiaks. This was a revenge game for the Shockers: when they faced off against the Kodiaks back in March, they had to take a 12-0 defeat.
Waterville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cascade, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Coincidentally, Waterville and Cascade will both be playing Lake Roosevelt the next time they take the field. The Kodiaks will head out to face the Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Shockers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
