Basketball Recap: Sandalwood Comes Up Short

Sandalwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orange Park Raiders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-58 back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Sandalwood lost, don't look at Anthony Evans. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points. Those 21 points gave Evans a new career-high.

Sandalwood's record now sits at 6-13. As for Orange Park, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Sandalwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-47 loss against Mandarin on the 14th. Orange Park has also already played their next match, a 50-37 defeat against Buchholz on the 11th.
