On Friday, Rigby faced Hillcrest in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Rigby Trojans pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over the Hillcrest Knights. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered an 81-69 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Hillcrest's loss came despite strong showings from Titan Larsen and Gage Blakeslee. Larsen went 5-for-7 on his way to 13 points and eight boards, while Blakeslee posted 16 points. What's more, Larsen also posted a 71% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Bridger Taylor was another key player, putting up nine points.

Rigby is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Rigby will be playing at home against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
