Football Recap: Potterville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Tekonsha last Friday, Potterville came back down to earth. The Vikings were outmatched by the Merrill Vandals and fell 62-20. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Vandals are ranked 15th).

Potterville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Greg Croze and Andrew Morales. Croze got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Potterville's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Merrill, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Potterville will host Holton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Merrill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carson City-Crystal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vandals are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
