Softball Recap: Adna Pirates vs. Napavine Tigers

Adna waltzed into their contest on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They never let the Napavine Tigers onto the board and left with a 16-0 victory. Adna might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Dakotta Dodd made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Dodd was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with an RBI.

In other batting news, Margarite Humphrey was incredible, going 1-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lena McCloskey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Adna pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Napavine, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Adna will head out on the road to square off against Morton/White Pass at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
