Baseball Game Preview: Eatonville Cruisers vs. Fife Trojans

Eatonville is 0-7 against Fife since March of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cruisers will take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Eatonville will be strutting in after a win while Fife will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Wednesday, Eatonville got the win against Clover Park by a conclusive 9-3.

Ben Smith was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Ethan Evans was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Fife unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Steilacoom by a score of 3-1. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dylan Hoots was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Eatonville's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Fife, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.

Eatonville suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Fife when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Cruisers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
