Basketball Recap: Exeter-West Greenwich Drops Highest Score of Season Against Times Squared Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Exeter-West Greenwich). They blew past the Times Squared Academy Eagles 69-23 on Thursday. The Scarlet Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Exeter-West Greenwich got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kate Hebert out in front who went 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Brielle Frenette was another key player, going 5-for-7 en route to 13 points in addition to six assists and five steals.

Hebert wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Exeter-West Greenwich was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win (which was Exeter-West Greenwich's tenth in a row) raised their record to 20-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to shooting accuracy: their field goal percentage was 48.8% in those games and 32.5% outside of them. As for Times Squared Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Exeter-West Greenwich does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Times Squared Academy, they and Central will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
