Basketball Recap: Fullerton Indians vs. Warren Bears

After flying high against San Gorgonio on Monday, Fullerton came back down to earth. The Indians lost to the Warren Bears on the road by a 81-62 margin on Tuesday. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Fullerton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Luka M Serratos, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Braxton Wink also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Warren's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenneth Martinez, who went 8-for-11 en route to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Martinez has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 67% every time he's hit the court this season. King Johnson was another key player, shooting 58% from the field on his way to 24 points and five boards.

Fullerton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Warren, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Fullerton will challenge Newport Harbor at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warren, they will take on Godinez Fundamental in a tournament on Thursday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Grizzlies have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
