After a string of 12 wins, Decatur's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sussex Central Golden Knights. If the Seahawks were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Golden Knights when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Sussex Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Decatur will look to defend their home field on Monday against Bennett at 3:00 p.m. The Clippers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Sussex Central, they will head out on the road to take on Cape Henlopen at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
