Basketball Game Preview: North Vikings vs. Mogadore Wildcats

North hasn't had much luck against Mogadore recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The North Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Mogadore Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

North is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season two weeks ago. They were outmatched by John Marshall and fell 76-14. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mogadore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 58-53 to Aquinas. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Mogadore, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-5.

Things could have been worse for North, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-47 loss to Mogadore in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can North avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
