Volleyball Recap: Westville Blackhawks vs. Jimtown Jimmies

Westville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Jimtown Jimmies. The Blackhawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Jimmies from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Kierstin Vargas paced Westville's offense, picking up three kills. Vargas got some help from Myleigh Weaver and her eight assists.

Jimtown found their leader in freshman Melina Perri, who had 12 aces and three digs. Those 12 aces set a new season-high mark for Perri.

Westville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Jimtown, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 9-16 record.

Westville has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Michigan City on the 4th. As for Jimtown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against South Bend Riley on the 4th.
