Volleyball Recap: East Starts Season with Loss at Home

East unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Mulvane Wildcats on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Despite the loss, East still got an impressive performance from Layla Larson, who had ten digs and one assist.

Mulvane pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, East and Mulvane will both be playing Collegiate the next time they take the court. The Aces will host the Spartans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
