Softball Recap: East Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

After flying high against Northern Durham on Wednesday, East Chapel Hill came back down to earth. East Chapel Hill lost 17-7 to the Jordan Falcons on Thursday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Lauren Steiner was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Esha Kamath, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

East Chapel Hill's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Jordan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

East Chapel Hill and Jordan will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time East Chapel Hill sees the field they'll take on Hillside at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Jordan, their break will end when they face Riverside-Durham at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
