Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Onslow Stallions vs. South Central Falcons

The Southwest Onslow Stallions will challenge the South Central Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, Southwest Onslow came up short against Swansboro and fell 78-67. The loss continues a trend for the Stallions in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, South Central took care of business in their home opener (and then some) last Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging an 82-53 victory over Hertford County.

Having lost for the first time this season, Southwest Onslow fell to 2-1. As for South Central, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Southwest Onslow beat South Central 47-39 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Do the Stallions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
