College Prep & Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 67-51 to the Glenn Bobcats.

Several Royals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gvanni Byron, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Byron is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Jayden Goodman also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.
Glenn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Derrek Griffin, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Griffin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Semaj Galloway, who posted 21 points.
