If St. Joseph was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Ocean City on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell 7-4 to the Millville Thunderbolts on Thursday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

St. Joseph got a good showing from Elaina Portalatin, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Kaylin Marshall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Bella Ramos also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Millville, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

While St. Joseph had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
