Basketball Recap: Bexley Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Bexley challenged Grandview Heights on Tuesday. The Bexley Lions were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to the Grandview Heights Bobcats. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 46-27.

Tatum Lusher was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 17 rebounds for Grandview Heights. That makes it 21 consecutive games in which Lusher has scored at least a third of Grandview Heights' points. Claire Callif was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Bexley is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14. As for Grandview Heights, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-15 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bexley will take on Worthington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bexley is facing Worthington Christian at the right time seeing as Worthington Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Grandview Heights, they will challenge Buckeye Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buckeye Valley will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Grandview Heights surely won't give up without a fight.
