Baseball Preview: Jefferson County Patriots vs. Pikeville Panthers        
        
		
            
 The Jefferson County Patriots will head out on the road to  square off against  the Pikeville Panthers at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Jefferson County is coming into the  game on  a  three-game losing streak.
 On Tuesday, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Jefferson County had to settle for  a  7-6 defeat against Sevier County. That's two games in a row now that Jefferson County has lost by  just one  run.
  Dylan Edmonds was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.  Brody Carr was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Pikeville suffered a  rough 12-1 loss at the hands of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee  on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Pikeville has scored all season.
 Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Pikeville,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-2.
