Basketball Game Preview: Avon Eagles vs. Steele Comets

The Avon Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Steele Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Avon came up short against Highland on Tuesday, falling 64-44. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Hornets are ranked 81st).

Meanwhile, Steele had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Sailors 66-38.

Steele's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Avon, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Avon couldn't quite finish off Steele in their previous meeting back in January and fell 69-67. Can Avon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
