Atascadero dropped down to 5-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They received a blow as they fell 28-14 to the San Luis Obispo Tigers. The Greyhounds lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 35-0 score last time.

Despite the loss, Atascadero still got an impressive performance from Damon Mitchell, who rushed for 215 yards and one TD while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Mitchell also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

As for San Luis Obispo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4. 28 seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Colbin Garrison was his usual excellent self, rushing for 296 yards and four scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. He has become a key player for San Luis Obispo: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Atascadero will venture away from home to square off against Nipomo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Greyhounds will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games. As for San Luis Obispo, they will head out to take on Lemoore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
