Volleyball Recap: Fayetteville Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Fayetteville took on Covenant Christian on Friday. The Lions came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 2-0. The Lions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Lions were just returning the favor.

Cambree Denham paced Fayetteville's offense, picking up ten kills. Denham got some help from Scotti Beseda and her 11 assists. Denham also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lainey Gromaski, racking up two apiece.

Fayetteville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Fayetteville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 15th. As for Covenant Christian, they will take on Second Baptist University-Model in a tournament on Friday.
