Softball Recap: Eastland Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Eastland and Jacksboro squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Eastland had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-7.

Lauryne Hobbs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Emma Beasley, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Eastland's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Jacksboro, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-11-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Eastland by a score of 10-2 on Saturday.
