Bluffton's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Monroe Central 17-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Madyson Sonnigsen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sonnigsen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three).
In other batting news, Marly Drayer was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Tressa Renner was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Bluffton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monroe Central only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers scored first but ultimately less than Churubusco in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 16-7. The Knights have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Addison Haney made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Hoffman, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bluffton, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
