Carthage is 8-2 against Henderson since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Carthage Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Henderson Lions at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Carthage lost to Pine Tree on the road by a 57-41 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1294th, while the Pirates are ranked 556th).

Meanwhile, Henderson came up short against Kilgore on Tuesday, falling 57-37. The Lions have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 5-22. As for Carthage, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Carthage couldn't quite finish off Henderson in their previous meeting back in January and fell 48-45. Can Carthage avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
