Volleyball Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cory-Rawson on Saturday, Arlington came back down to earth. The Red Devils took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ottoville Big Green on Monday. The Red Devils have struggled against the Big Green recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 17-25, 25-20.

Callie Hartman paced Arlington's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hartman got some help from Ellie Marquart and her 22 assists. Marquart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ottoville, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Arlington has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Hardin Northern on the 30th. As for Ottoville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Lincolnview on the 26th.
