Heartland Lutheran's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

If the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets were riding high off their 44-18 takedown of the Axtell Wildcats on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Heartland Lutheran was outmatched by Dundy County-Stratton on the road and fell 50-22.
Heartland Lutheran lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ema Koch, who scored seven points. Ella Francl was another key contributor, scoring two points along with six rebounds.
Heartland Lutheran's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-6. As for Dundy County-Stratton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heartland Lutheran and Riverside will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Dundy County-Stratton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chase County on Tuesday. Chase County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
