Soccer Game Preview: Gregori vs. Turlock

The Gregori Jaguars will challenge the Turlock Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gregori is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over Modesto on Wednesday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Gregori's offense was hitting Modesto from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Kyle Sousa led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Turlock kept a clean sheet against Enochs on Thursday. They skirted past the Eagles 1-0. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Eagles are ranked 121st).

Turlock is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five games. As for Gregori, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3-2.

Everything went Gregori's way against Turlock in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Gregori made off with a 4-0 victory. Does Gregori have another victory up their sleeve, or will Turlock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
